Undefeated in the regular season, the Eagles also dominated throughout the tournament to eventually win the conference championship trophy with a victory against St. Michael's and a perfect season record of 17-0. All the World's a Stage
Students from every grade participated in this year's DCHS Shakespeare Festival with performances ranging from tearful to hilarious. Such talent abounded that, along with the three top finishers, two alternates were chosen to move on to the regionl competition at U of A. Gallery...
After beating Phoenix Country Day on Wednesday in the first round of Regionals, the Desert Christian Eagle boys closed out the basketball season Thursday night against the top-seeded Scottsdale Christian Eagles. Unable to overcome a third quarter run by SCA, Desert fought back to within seven and had to be satisfied with a final score of 60-53.
The Girls' Varsity improved their record throughout the year and made a strong showing against the top two teams in the conference. The lady Eagles held off Scottsdale Christian in the first half of their regional contest, but eventually lost out in the second to end their exciting season on Wednesday. Spelling Bee BuzzThis year's ACSI District Spelling Bee attracted over 90 elementary and middle school students from all over Tucson. DCS students demonstrated poise and aptitude in representing their individual classes. It was a challenging, sometimes nervous experience, but one that ultimately glorified God through the efforts of these talented spellers. Results and photos...
Cindy Riley Wins National Award
Honored for her years of service, special accomplishments, and contributions to high school interscholastic athletics, DCHS Athletic Director Cindy Riley was among eight recipients nationally recognized with the 2008 Distinguished Service Award by the NIAAA at their annual event held in San Diego this December. Since 1986, Mrs. Riley has devoted herself to athletic programs, serving on numerous committees and boards at the state and national level and has received several awards. Fiddler on the Roof
